"The sport mentorship experience is tailored to specific needs and interests of the student. A mentorship is a professional field experience under the direction of an approved mentor defined as a trusted counselor, tutor, or coach who serves as an on-site supervisor. Students are required to participate in 200 contact hours, documented in a daily logs and daily blogs (journal entries)" (Business Internships 2015).

HOURS: VARIED DAYS MONDAY - FRIDAY 8am - 3pm, SATURDAY & SUNDAY FLEX 8am - 10pm

Duties:
Learning Objective
The objective of this experience is to gain knowledge and understanding of marketing, promotions, and operations of The Cavaliers Operating Company including their franchises. This experience will also help further develop my marketing and management skills.
Compensation:
- Assist Supervisors with Gladiators team development
- Shadow Cavaliers Operating Co. meetings ie. promotional, marketing, finance, etc.
- Assist with community outreach activities
- Facilitate Gladiators Youth Football Clinic
- Gladiators operations, practice, scheduling, film evaluation
- Communicate with Supervisor, athletes perspective of company functions
- Pre-game/post-game activities
