Today was the final day of preparation for the Cleveland Gladiators, tomorrow we hit the road on a seven hour drive to Philadelphia for our game this Saturday. The day began with film breakdown provided by VidSwap. The coaches emphasized the red zone area. In arena football the red zone is considered the opponents area starting at the 15 yard line going into the endzone.
To breakdown the plays I searched all categories of plays in the first three games in the red zone area. Coaches used the film to facilitate meeting from 8:30am until the start of practice at 10am. After practice at the APAC, all traveling athletes were required to pack their bags, so that they can be loaded on the charter bus at 4am by the equipment staff. Later this evening I assisted with team meals provided by a restaurant partner.
